Canadian Baking Buzz — newcomers market

According to CBC the Newcomers Market in Regina was closed due (by their choice) after a complaint was made because the sellers weren't preparing the food in accordance with regulations. What are your thoughts on this? Personally I'm kinda torn on this.  I actually own a catering company in western Canada and we had to go through the process to get approval for a class 4 food license (the same as a restaurant).  So in one way I don't see why they should be any different.  They're preparing food and safety is very important however I would hate to see every little bake sale to be shut down because of these regulations.  I believe there needs to be a balance.  Thoughts?
